Quark Author Web Edition is a web-based software that together with Quark Publishing Software, enables non-technical users, such as business users and other subject matter experts to create a structured content without having to know or understand XML.
CHALLENGE. Allow users to create structured content using editor tools, add tables and charts, reuse component from Platform server, save documents to server, live previews, review the document for change tracking, add metadata for each section or block element, promote and demote sections. The web application should work perfectly fine in both browser and iPad/Tablet.
SOLUTION. Quark Author Web Edition allowed users to create structured content based on predefined schema model. Users were able to preview, add review comments, add notes. Many users can contribute to a single document in a collaborative environment.
MY ROLE. Competitive Research, Create storyboard, Persona profiles, Create Flows, Card sorting to organize Ribbon Menus, Lo-fidelity and High-fidelity screenshots, created UI style guide/library for consistent design approach across components.
Worked with Professional Services and R&D team and renowned clients - Standard & Poor’s, GIA (Gemological Institute of America), Barclays, HSBC, IHS Market for creating custom based solutions. I was also part of bi-weekly calls with customer support team to resolve customer issues on priority.
